Project C.A.R.E.S. is an educational initiative rooted in Leadership Through Literacy. Founded in 2009, the program provides ACT preparation and on-demand tutoring for middle and high school students pursuing academic excellence.

Based at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Mason, TN, Project C.A.R.E.S. carries on the legacy of the Gailor Industrial School (1935-1965), continuing a long tradition of community-centered education in Tipton County.

Continuing the Legacy of Gailor Industrial School

The Gailor Industrial School operated at St. Paul's Episcopal Church from 1935 to 1965, providing education and vocational training to African American students in Tipton County during a time when such opportunities were scarce. Project C.A.R.E.S. carries that spirit forward, ensuring that every child in our community has access to the academic support they need to succeed.
